The unit of Rare Neurodegenerative Diseases has several research lines focused on the study of molecular bases of rare neurological disorders (ataxias, neurodegeneration with brain iron accumulation, Wilson’s disease, dystonia, etc.). The current projects are focused on the characterization of the genetic bases and biomarkers, and on the disease mechanism of this group of Mendelian movement disorders. The candidate will work in Health Research Projects, ISCIII, ref. PI18/00147.
