OVERVIEW

OUR SCIENCE

The scientific activity carried out at our Center is structured into four programs which in turn, comprise our various research groups.

The researchers at the CIPF generate knowledge that will help improve the prediction, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of human diseases.

The work performed at the Center advances current biomedical knowledge and produces results constituting true milestones which are often transferable to the health system through public entities and the specialized private sector. This cutting-edge research is also embodied in our track-record of high-impact scientific publications.

The research activity at the CIPF is undertaken by eighteen research groups, organized into four scientific programs designed to tackle some of the most common and important diseases in today’s society.

Moreover, our scientific activity is being increasingly recognized, which has positioned us as one of the top 7 institutions in Spain in terms of research and knowledge development in the Area of Health and Biomedicine, according to the International SCIMAGO Institutions Rankings.
