Position title
Predoctoral researcher R1 - R1.09/2021
Description

The “Metabolic Growth Factors and Regenerative Medicine” laboratory offers an exciting opportunity for a predoctoral researcher R1 to obtain specialized training in the biomedical field. Our laboratory studies the tissue biology of insulin resistance (IR), and the impact of diabetes on the healing and repair process in organs such as the liver. We are interested in incorporating a person who wishes to carry out their future doctoral thesis in this project, through the modality of a one-year training contract under the research project with reference PID2020-117879GB-I00 / AEI / 10.13039 / 501100011033, granted by the Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación through ayudas a «proyectos de I+D+i» within the framework of state programs for the generation of knowledge and scientific and technological strengthening of the I+D+i y de I+D+i orientada a los Retos de la Sociedad, 2020 call. This aid may be co-financed by the European Social Fund (FSE) and the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER).

During the year of the contract, the candidate will receive training in basic laboratory techniques and will gain experience in the research field. To carry out their thesis, once incorporated into the laboratory, the candidate will apply for pre-doctoral contracts such as that offered by the Generalitat Valenciana and/or the Spanish Ministry FPU program. Curious, intelligent and kind people are strongly encouraged to apply, although unfortunately we may be unable to accept those who do not have a competitive point-average score at degree level due to the ruthlessness of the funding system
