The Process of Publishing Scientific Papers

Speaker: Prof. Juan Bisquert
Institution: Director, Institute of Advanced Materials, INAM, Universitat Jaume I
Executive Editor of the Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters (American Chemical) Professor of Applied Physics
Place: ONLINE CIPF TEAMS

Abstract
This talk is an introduction to communication of scientific results in the form of scientific papers We will first discuss the fact that research requires sharing knowledge through the peer review system to validate results in scientific communities by means of editorial and communication processes We will go step by step through this process We will address the following Scientific Writing Preparing your publication Scientific Journals and Peer review system Publishing your publication Promoting your publication The objective of the workshop is that you get a broad picture of publishing and thus, can better understand how to publish papers and maximize their impact in the scientific community.

Short Bio: Juan Bisquert has published 400 papers in research journals, and authored a series of books, including Nanostructured Energy Devices and Physics of Solar Cells Perovskites, Organics, and Photovoltaics Fundamentals (CRC Press) Dr Bisquert has 35000 citations and h index 95 He is a Senior Editor of the Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters The research activity of Juan Bisquert has been focused on materials and devices for production and storage of clean energies, in particular photovoltaic devices, based on nanostructured metal oxides, semiconductor quantum dots, organic and hybrid semiconductors, and related applications such as luminescence The main contribution of Bisquert by which he established an international reputation is the application of measurement techniques and physical modelling in several areas of energy devices, relating the device operation with the elementary steps that take place at the nanoscale dimension charge transfer, carrier transport, chemical reaction, etc especially in the field of impedance spectroscopy, as well as device models, and the development of a general physical picture of solar energy devices.
