Laboratory Technician T.E.S.01/2021

The Laboratory of Metabolic Growth Signals and Regenerative Medicine offers a laboratory technician position in a project that aims to address the impact of insulin resistance on the liver´s regenerative capacity. Insulin resistance is associated with obesity, type II diabetes and chronic liver disease and we have recently identified defects in hepatic wound healing associated with impaired local insulin signaling.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Processing and handling of biological samples/specimens
• Organization and management of the laboratory and its inventory
• Support in research tasks relating to microbiology, molecular and cell biology
• Documentation and analysis of biological data
• Handling and management of experimental animal colonies
• Elaboration of protocols and research documents
