Description

The Laboratory of Metabolic Growth Signals and Regenerative Medicine studies the tissue biology of insulin resistance, and the impact of diabetes on scarring/wound-healing in organs such as liver. We are looking for a dynamic outstanding individual, with exceptional organizational skills, passion for basic research and a dedication to learn, to manage and develop our exciting research program. An understanding and enthusiasm for basic research and willingness to work in a team are essential for the post. The candidate will have experience of molecular and cell biology techniques, but on the job training will be provided. Emphasis will be placed on the ability of the candidate to understand and react to scientific questions, solve problems and work closely with others in the lab. In addition to experimental work, responsibilities will include organizational tasks, formalization and documentation of lab protocols, ordering of consumables and leasing between the PI and students.

 

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

 

  • Research tasks relating to molecular, tissue and cell biology projects
  • Organization of the laboratory, ordering and inventory
  • Handling and management of experimental animal colonies
  • Elaboration and standardization of laboratory protocols
